It is very easy to create an eye catching logo for your website or application using HTML & CSS alone. Here is a small logo I made in 5 minutes using Google Fonts and some simple styling.

See the Pen Animated Logo Using HTML/CSS Keyframes by Shane Walsh (@technicalshane) on CodePen.0

The logo is simple, it has a bright background, it has readable funky text and a big letter to make the logo look unique. So lets first look at the HTML:

<div id="wrapper">

<div id="logo">

<p>Revel</p>

</div>

</div>

I created a wrapper and centered it on the screen and created another div inside it called logo and within that I created a paragraph with our logo text. Very simple and not over complicated. Now lets look at the CSS:

@import url('https://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Bungee');

body {
  font-family: 'Bungee', cursive;
}

#wrapper {
  margin: 50px auto;
  padding: 15px;
  background-color: gold;
  width: 325px;
  border-radius: 15px;
}
#wrapper #logo {
  font-size: 60px;
  line-height: 5px;
  text-align: center;
  letter-spacing: -2px;
}
#wrapper #logo p::first-letter {
  color: #fff;
  font-size: 80px;
}

I used the Bungee font for this project and added the font to the body targeting all properties below. As you can see the #wrapper is pretty basic and the #logo also. To target the first letter in the logo I used the ::first-letter selector and gave it a different font-size and color to stand out from the rest.

So there you go, a simple, eye catching logo. Have a play around with the code and see what you can come up with.
